The game has no copy protection, but does protect against altering the code. Should someone alter the game's code without disarming the traps hidden within, the game bypasses the Epson's write-protection for tapes and erases itself. Harsh. So if one studies the code, the trap can be removed? Not exactly, some lines in the code have control characters that cause parts of the line to not show when listed. The unaltered lines are there and run as intended, you just can see them when listed on the screen. The memory locations containing the code must be examined to see the actual code. Or, one can write the file to the printer as if the printer were a storage medium.
