Strategy First published the game on 2007-10-18***For the first half of the 21st century, the war on terror became a global phenomena as more blatant and frenzied attacks struck deeper into the lives of common people. Inevitably, the pressure from public outcry to stop the madness grew to an irresistible level; the military forces of the world slowly but steadily retooled their outlooks, weapons, and tactics to combat people who were willing to die for their cause.

By 2100, the world was more or less at peace, with continued discord in some regions as modernized military forces sought to track down and destroy the remaining terrorist cells that continued to fight and harass civilian and military alike. Regardless, as this war began to wane, it slowly moved out of the public's eye, and they began to pick up the pieces and try to make better lives for themselves. Not since the years following World War II had such prosperity been felt across the planet; even war-ravaged regions received a "Marshall Plan" of sorts, having their infrastructures built up far beyond what they ever were before.

As prosperity grew, so too did the ventures of capitalism. In this day and age, science was the 'new capitalism,' fueling the growth of amazing new technologies. The first high-profile ventures into the creation of a viable fusion energy source, an offshoot of the efforts of the aging multinational oil companies, began in 2105 in the United States, with the backing of billions of dollars in venture and government capital. The International Power Initiative of 2112, an agreement among nations investing in the fusion power project, but eventually including many hundreds of other projects based on energy, radically restructured how science was to approach new energy sources. The level of freedom granted to a group of corporations might have been dangerous one hundred years ago, but it was felt that today since there was not a rivalry in the race to find the secrets of fusion power first, that giving a corporation autonomy to do what it needed to do would foster creativity and growth on an unheard-of scale.

It didn't.

Ankh - Battle of the Gods  Daedalic Entertainment;Strategy First (Deck13 Interactive)? Linuxlabelminimizeminimize
Ankh: Battle of the Gods  Daedalic Entertainment;Strategy First (Deck13 Interactive)2009It seemed like finally things would look bright for Assil. He did not only get the Ankh back but also Thara. And all it took was giving the heart of Osiris back to him at the end of Ankh: Heart of Osiris. He didn't listen to Osiris or even ask questions about the Ankh or the strange "Battle of the Gods" he needed his heart for. He just went on with his life and built a house together with Thara.

Had he listened, he would have been prepared for tonight because another thousand years are up and the sign of the camel once again shines bright from the sky. It is the sign for the Gods that they once again need to engage in a tournament whose winner will rule over Egypt the centuries to come. But Assil just didn't listen. Instead the Ankh wakes him up when the Ancient God embedded in it begins to speak. He tells Assil that he needs to stop the God Seth from winning the tournament and since he is the keeper of the Ankh he has to do as told. So it is up to Assil to save Egypt.

You take control of Assil with your mouse and guide him through the different environments talking to people through multiple choice dialogues, while you pick up items which are needed to solve the many puzzles on the journey. On the way he will not only revisit familiar locations (like Cairo) and meet old friends, but he will also visit new locations including the famous Casino of Luxor and meet new characters everywhere.

During the course of the game you will also have the chance to take control of Thara to solve riddles where more than one person is needed or which Assil cannot solve since he is for example afraid of water since that incident in Ankh. To help you on your adventure, the game now features a hotspot indicator. If you press the corresponding button, the game shows you all the things in the current room you can interact with.***2009-06-16 on Steam, by Strategy First (lang: eng)

[Ascaron]***"Darkstar One" is a game that is primarily story-based and therefore pre-defined; however, "Darkstar One" also offers a fantastic amount of freedom of choice for the players.

The story-based missions gradually lead the player deeper into the galaxy to new races, new technologies and ever stronger opponents. More and more solar systems will become available and may be visited. The artifacts of an ancient race, which are hidden in these solar systems, are essential to upgrade the player ship - the Darkstar One.

Additionally, our hero urgently requires credits in order to purchase better equipment such as weapons and shields. This is where the freedom of choice is applied as the player will be able to earn credits in many different ways: assignments, bounty hunting, piracy, smuggling, trading, escorting, transport, rewards ...

Key Features
* Elaborate story, related by more than fifty minutes of video sequences
* Upgradeable space ship "Darkstar One": The player decides which type of spacecraft he prefers - a fast attack ship with many light weapons or a near-invincible cruiser with heavy weaponry
* Over two hundred different weapons, shields and equipment items
* Rockets, torpedoes and mines feature special tactical uses: mines can tactically fire at opponents or distract approaching missiles
* The "Spell Weapon": the player will have a special weapon at his disposal that will have an area of effect similar to certain spells in role-playing games. This weapon will become increasingly versatile throughout the game and it will increase the tactical potential considerably.
* A vast, simulated universe with numerous, completely different races, space ships and battle tactics.
* Each race features distinctive weapon types with different functions that require different battle tactics. The player will be able to acquire these weapons in order to mount them on the "Darkstar One".
* Special missions, for example in canyons, on the surface of planets or inside of planets
* Freedom of choice: the player may earn his credits in many ways, i.e. fighting, piracy, assignments, smuggling, trading, escorting, transporting, rewards ...
* Follow your own path, be it "good" or "bad", and take advantage of political disputes.
* Compatible with mouse, joystick and gamepad.
[Ascaron]***health warning — you start hearing a warning sound. when viewing the game from the cockpit you see the red warning light flashing on the 3D HUD and even being reflected on the canopy (though lack of the protagonist's reflection is a bit strange at these times.
monster generators — cruisers spew forth an infinite number of fighters, so you can't kill their supports first and then the cruiser, you need to destroy the cruiser first or you have an endless and fruitless battle at your hands.***Belongs to the same family of spaceflight games as Elite, Freelancer and X. The basic controls are similar to Freelancer, which means the game plays great with mouse and keyboard alone with no need for joystick.

The game's story is odd as it states that the DarkStar One is an organic ship, but it is one of the most mechanical looking ones out there (with very out-of-place camo paintjob).***2008-02-14 on Steam, by Strategy First (lang: eng)***Reminded me of [[game:Wing Commander]], [[game:Tie Fighter]], etc. from the good old days, so I thought I'd pick it up. Disciples III: Renaissance  Akella;Strategy First;Kalypso Media Digital (.dat)2009A new stage in the evolution of the turn-based strategy genre. Retaining the strengths of previous titles in the series, Disciples III introduces new features to create truly exciting gameplay.

Disciples III continues and improves upon the core concepts of the Disciples series. Advances in gameplay and the addition of new elements will make the game richer and more interesting. The visual design follows the original ominous and gloomy style of the Disciples world, but now the entire game environment and every individual unit is in full 3D. The combat system will be significantly improved by adding new elements. Disciples III allows a Lord to use spells on the battlefield. Casting utilizes mana, magic energy that is acquired from controlled sources, plus spell cards that can be bought or found. Travel on a global map will be implemented as in Disciples II - via a point & click system. Now, you can also split groups at any time, and units will be able to travel without an accompanying Leader. New terrain features will also be added - rivers and gullies that can be crossed by bridges or by flying aboard an aircraft.

Work on the project was started in the summer of 2005. The game uses .dat's in-house Virtual Dream engine, which supports all modern 3D technologies such as vertex and pixel shaders, normal maps, skeletal, morphic and procedural animations, particle systems, dynamic lights and shadows, portal technology, image post-processing, etc.

Key Features:

* Three playable races: The Empire, The Legions of the Damned and the Noble Elves; each has unique units and city design
* Cities are now represented in full 3D, and the player will see selected buildings through the eye of a building-centered camera
* At the strategic level, unit turns will be affected with an initiative factor that will dictate turns at the unit level, meaning increased fluidity in multiplayer and less downtime in single-player
* Leaders get improved abilities and you can assign stat bonuses to your liking. An RPG-style system will be implemented for the character advancement system, with inventory, expanded stats and abilities, and a character model that will visually reflect equipped armor, weapons and artifacts

Disciples: Sacred Lands  Atari (Strategy First)1999It is now the dawn of a new age. The most momentous of wars has begun in the heart of the Sacred Lands. Four races - the Empire, the Mountain Clans, the Undead Hordes and the Legions of the Damned - stand ready for battle as they fight for the survival and dominance of their war-torn world, and the gods they have long believed in.

The Mighty Lords watch silently as their Disciples prepare for the daunting tasks ahead. Each warrior must engage in a struggle of swordplay, sorcery, and uncommon courage in order to complete their sacred quests.

The Empire fight to secure their people's future; The Mountain Clans search to regain their rune knowledge; The Undead Hordes seek revenge for their accursed god; and The Legions of the Damned battle to resurrect their fallen angel's soul. It is a struggle of desperation.

Every stroke of a sword, each blast of fiery magic must be endured beyond exhaustion. For once the clouds of destruction clear, lands will have been transformed, new armies will have been forged and the cheers of the liberated will resound throughout the land.

The day of reckoning has come...

Only one race shall claim victory. Only the chosen will survive.

Gameplay

Disciples: Sacred Lands is a turn-based RPS game in which four realms-the Empire, the Mountain Clans, the Legions of the Damned and the Undead Hordes-are fighting for control of a vast fantasy world.

You begin the game by selecting a race, each with their own advantages and vulnerabilities. Once you have chosen your race, you will need to select a lord who will lead your party in battle and who will grant your party certain abilities. The Warrior lord will lend strength; the Mage lord will provide magic; and the Guild Master (Thief) will grant leaders the special ability to poison enemy garrisons, spy on races, and steal valuable items and spells from enemy cities.

When a lord has been chosen, you are required to build your party and start your quest. Beginning from your capital city, you may set forth on single-mission quests or multi-mission sagas that contain varying objectives. Each turn consists of entering into combat, developing your capital city, acquiring resources and casting spells.

In the Sacred Lands, survival depends on controlling territory and acquiring resources. The goal is to transform the land to reflect your God's influence. In doing so, you may occupy neutral ground, plant magical rods in enemy terrain, or deploy units to slowly erode the enemy's economy. The challenge lies in obtaining your resources, for you must first conquer the land in which they are hidden before you can put them to use.

Unlike any game in its genre, Disciples breathes new life into the role-playing experience. Your units are not disposable. Experience is not bought, but rather gained through combat. Upgrade levels and direction of succession are also dependent on the buildings you add inside your city.

Through this new dimension in character development, units must be nurtured in battle so that they can move forward through multiple levels of progression. Once you have completed a saga, you can take only one leader to the next chapter and begin to rebuild your party once again. This gives you, the player, a sense of loyalty and attachment to your characters.

In addition to a powerful scenario editor and multiplayer action with up to four players over LAN and Internet, Disciples has a wealth of tactical and strategic options available to you. With over 120 party members and leaders, 35-40 neutral characters, and over 100 spells, the sheer staggering number and variety of units opens the mind to endless possibilities.

Praised to be the best turn-based RPS game of the year, Disciples will immerse you in a world where victory will inspire you, evil will haunt you and the sound of clanging swords and screaming demons will keep you returning... to the Sacred Lands.

Exodus from the Earth  1C Company;Strategy First (Parallax Arts Studio)2008shotguns - a triple-barreled shotgun.***Latest version: retail***Exodus From the Earth is a a CyberPunk FPS taking place in 2016. Mankind believes it'll be five billion years before the Earth begins to die. However, recent findings show that the earth is living its last twenty years and the Sun is to become an ever-increasing "Red Giant", burning everything around it and turning the Earth into a lifeless hell. The population is now faced with the monumental task of either adapting human beings for living in extraterrestrial conditions, or finding an Earth-like planet where people can live.

The A.X. Corporation, which now rules the Earth, and is the largest genetic and space military engineering company, has undertaken the task of conducting research. After a while, the Corporation offered the technology that could allow human beings to survive in any alien extraterrestrial environment. On a distant planet they found a mineral from which they could produce a vaccine that would allow human beings to live in any environment. The Corporation's proposal was to inject their vaccine into every person and then move to some other planet beyond the solar system.

Despite the fact that the first experiments have been successful, the Government has been very confused being entirely dependent on the Corporation. And furthermore, nobody knows how the mineral will affect human organisms. At the same time, according to their information there was an astronaut, John Rick, who had supposedly found a so-called "Second Earth" which was a planet with an Earth-like environment. Based on secret information, John Rick returned from his space expedition and disappeared. The Intelligence Agency suspects the Corporation, headed by Jack Crizby, of removing John Rick in order to conquer all of mankind for their financial interests.

Harry Southgate, who is the head of The Intelligence Agency, has commissioned the main hero whose name is Francis Rixon, to find out what is happening inside the Corporation's confines and to get the information about the mineral and the Earth-like planet, should it really exist.

Mike Sullivan – an owl at the territory of the A.X. Corporation – is working to help Frank in reaching his goal. Mike is the Chief Security Guard of the Corporation's inside locations and his mission is to lead Frank to the head office of the A.X. Corporation where all the information might be stored.
