Star Clash author1990Star Clash is a modem to modem arcade type Star ship war game. You start the game with 0 damage, phaser power at 100, shield power at 100, and 50 photon torpedoes. Each time you fire phasers you lose 20 phaser points until your phaser energy falls below 20 then you cannot fire. Phaser energy builds up slowly if you have shields raised or very fast if you do not. Each time you get hit by enemy phasers your shields get reduced by 10 points if raised otherwise you receive 10 points of damage. You may fire up to 3 photon torpedoes at a time forward plus 1 to the rear. Each time you get hit by enemy torpedoes your shields get reduced by 20 points if raised otherwise you receive 20 points of damage. Damage is slowly repaired and shields are slowly charged. If Damage is greater then 0 your speed will be reduced, the greater the damage the slower your ship can fly. If Damage reaches or passes 100 you lose and the game will end. labelimagesubject

Star Wars: Dark Forces LucasArts1995Un juego estilo DOOM (pero con salto) donde comienzas la aventura de Kyle Katarn contra el Imperio. Tiene una buena dosis de libertad gracias a unos mapas bastante grandes y unos cuantos secretos.
Peca de un sistema de disparo ineficaz para las diferencias de altura y de unos enemigos que no aciertan una, y la ausencia de un sistema de guardado.

7 de 10***The first mission ties with the movies in that Kyle serves as the guy who fetches the Death Star plans so Luke (unmentioned in the game) can destroy it. The actual game starts from the events following it, however, as the Dark Trooper project gets into operational state. Rest of the game story is built around this project, uncovering information about it and sabotaging it.

Unlike most games of old and even modern, many of the missions in Dark Forces involve the player locating something and then [i]returning[/i] to the start point where the vessel that brought Kyle in is ready to extract him again (or shortly arrives there!). There's also turrets going berserk, armor not providing perfect protection, shared ammo between two weapons (the other consumes more ammo), grenades having a charged throw (throws farther the longer you hold the fire key), actual 3D models (spacecraft and turrets), overpasses (near true 3D levels), sectioned maps within single level, a glow lamp with depleting batteries (instead of single use light "powerup"), and probably some other features that weren't seen in games around the time Dark Forces came out.***2009-09-16 on Steam, by LucasArts (lang: eng, fre, ger, ita, spa) - bundled with DOSBox and default control configuration somewhat similar to modern FPS games (original controls were very different).***[b]war[/b] - since the protagonist is a mercenary who is mostly hired for "covert" ops, this bit is not so evident, but these are part of the Rebel Alliance's war effort against the Empire.

Not true in newer Windows systems though.***An unusual change from the previous X-COM games which were darker and more tied to popular sci-fi fads. Although the gameplay is good and somewhat unusual, its greatest weakness is its outlook. Everything is in cheery candy wrapped colours with odd plastic shine to them, giving the game an unreal feel and makes it difficult to immerse oneself into the gameworld and feel like we really are being invaded by aliens from another dimension while some strange alien worshipping cult tries to sabotage your operations. This is not the only reason, but it just feels like it lacks a great deal to make itself stand out, especially now that the game is located on one huge megapolis rather than the whole world, so you'd expect the game to also have more detail on that accord but no, there isn't. Despite this, the game is enjoyable for some odd reason, but could've been much better.
