highborn protagonist - Kain was a nobleman in life.
[Sanguine]***Overhead action-RPG where you play as the vampire Kain in the sinister world of Nosgoth. You can kill and feast on any human you encounter.

Kain was a nobleman who was murdered during his travels. He sought vengeance and the necromancer Mortanius offered him a chance to do so by reviving him as a vampire. Kain then quickly enacts his revenge, but finds out that there is a greater plot to be uncovered. The story is probably the darkest to ever grace a console video game. Violent, yet mature and serious.

The storyline is too deep and complex for a simple summary so for more details, visit the link below and go to the Blood Omen section, or better yet, play the game.

Kain can use various weapons, spells and items, can morph in the classic vampire states (bat, wolf, mist), feast on humans or even some monsters and explore various environments.

The game features excellent voice acting and several cinematics. The bugs found on the PlayStation version were corrected for the PC version, and there is even a little extra dialogue (though not much).

King's Quest I  Tierra;AGDI (Tierra)2001An updated version of the remake of the original [game= King's Quest] King's Quest[/game]. That is, a remake of a remake :) Text input, except for a few key plot necessities, is replaced with point&click. Graphics are beautiful VGA. Superb music and sound (optional). And many of the original voice actors from later official King's Quest games lent their voices to this unofficial remake (also optional). Play in window or full screen, 1.60 letterboxed widescreen or anamorphic widescreen (requires a 1.33 resolution displayed on a widescreen monitor), and 320x200 or 640x400.

Like the original, this game is unfair :) So save often. However, save slots are limited to 20 at a time. A knowledge of nursery rhymes, fairytales and folktales is helpful. There are many object to find and us in the game to score points. There are usually several solutions to a problem that score a different amount of points. Misusing items will subtract points, sometimes permanently. 'Beating' the game is fairly easy, a perfect score is a bit trickier.

Easter eggs:
1. Take the goat to the middle of the screen east of the friendly elf and eat your carrot.
2. With the voice pack active, quit the game while under water and listen.
3. Listen to the sound when you use the mushroom
4. Talk to yourself until you say interesting things.
5. Read the note on every screen until it says something new.
6. Watch the rising smoke from the Witch's cauldron.
7. Use the magic mirror on yourself while using the ring
8. Look at the Rock at the base of the tree on the screen with the waterfall.
9. Look at the brush near the stump where the pouch is.
10. Save then talk to a castle guard while using the ring
11. Restore your game and talk to the other guard while using the ring
12. Keep feeding the Troll till something else happens.

Lords of the Realm III  Sierra Entertainment (Impressions Games)2004Missing images: combat, castle siege, perhaps others.***Lords of the Realm III features authentic medieval history, multi-layered strategy, and lifelike battle action rendered in stunning visual detail.

Launched in Fall 1994, the original Lords of the Realm from Impressions Games received high praise for its complete and authentic medieval setting, its modem-based multiplayer action, and its great balance of micro- and macro-management within a fun and challenging strategy game.

Two years later, Impressions released Lords of the Realm II, which combined turn-based strategy with compelling real-time battles and realistic castle sieges. Lords of Magic debuted in November 1997, uniting the best elements of the Lords series with magic and spell-casting.

Lords of the Realm III is the long-awaited, highly anticipated continuation of the award-winning Lords series. With its all-new 3D engine, easy-to-use interface, and real-time action, Lords III offers a carefully researched, richly detailed historical game of warfare and politics set in a beautifully rendered medieval world.

Authentic Environment
Do battle against the backdrop of medieval Europe, as you witness the rise of kings, cash economies, and the dominance of religion. Lords of the Realm III is true to actual history, with a unique, romantic, and earthy look and feel that separates it from other historical games.

Three In-Depth Levels
Build castles and amass resources on the Kingdom level, then besiege castles or engage in open-field warfare in stunning visual detail on the Combat level and engage in diplomacy on the Political Level. Lords of the Realm III offers all this, presented in real time.

Realistic Combat
Repel castle attackers with boiling oil, catapult farm animals atop charging armies, and experience all the brutal tactics of the times as you lead knights, archers, and peasant foot soldiers—each highly individualized—into raging battle. In Lords of the Realm III, the sights and sounds of battle are rendered in all their realistic detail.

Playable Noblemen
Begin as a English, French, or German lord or lady, winning clergy, burghers, and knights to your cause. Enter alliances with neighboring lords to gain political and military advantage. But be mindful of the motivations of each group, and be prepared to suffer the consequences if a pact is broken.

Advanced 3D Engine
High walls tumble to earth, flames billow from castle stores, and steel clashes with steel in this startlingly realistic re-creation of medieval warfare. Zoom in or out, or rotate your view of the battlefield a full 360 degrees—Lords of the Realm III's advanced 3D engine plunges you into the midst of the fray!

Castle Editor
The Lords of the Realm III Castle Editor lets you construct castles to defend your feudal domain. You can select from a variety of ready-made castles, or design your own. Designs range from early stockades and stout stone Norman towers to the grand Edwardian castles of the early 1300s.

King's Bounty: The Legend  1C Company;Atari;Paradox Interactive (Katauri Interactive)2008King's Bounty: The Legend is an adventure game with tactical turn-based battles and role-playing elements. In a fairy tale fantasy world of fearless knights, evil mages, wise kings and beautiful princesses the player controls a hero. Leading their character through the game world, exploring it, commanding armies in battle and accomplishing various quests can mean great reward or huge defeats.

Gameplay is divided into two major sections: adventure mode and battle mode. While playing in adventure mode the gamer controls their character in real-time. With several classes available at the start of a new game, the player moves through the adventure map seeking various treasures, fighting monsters and accomplishing quests tasked to him by the local stewards. Once in battle mode the gamer assumes the role of a war chief, leading his troops in tactical turn-based combat. Battles take place on land or sea, in dungeons or castles or even in some items! The hero himself doesn't participate in the combat, but can assist his troops by casting spells or summoning different creatures.***Una gran mezcla de estrategia y combate por turnos, al estilo de Might and Magic.

The Book of Unwritten Tales Nordic Games Publishing;Lace Mamba (King Art)2009The first thing you notice when looking at this game are the excellent visuals. The scenes are packed with details and in a style that makes you wonder if you're dealing with cartoony 3D models or hand-drawn backgrounds. And as it turns out, the developer is using both of these techniques, meshing them so skillfully that the transitions are practically indiscernable. The way characters and other real-time rendered objects integrate into the environment is stunning as well. In a fantasy world ravaged by war, an elderly gremlin guards an artifact that can decide the fate of the world; an army of darkness trys to snatch it and crosses paths with three heroes, who stumbled into the adventure by accident earlier. By the time you find out that the artifact guardian is named Mortimer MacGuffin, it should have become clear that the story itself is not what the game is really all about. It's designed to be a parody taking place in the world of adventure, RPG and fantasy. If The Lord of The Rings, Indiana Jones or World of Warcraft mean anything to you, you will immediately appreciate the rich game world, with references, allusions, gags and self-irony lurking around every corner. Filled with weird characters and dark humour, it features four playable characters who must each use their different skills to solve various challenges, including some that can only be achieved by working together as a team. The protagonists include the little gnome Wilbur; the elf princess Ivo; a human adventurer named Nate; and The Critter, a shaggy creature that Nate adopted on one of his journeys and hasn't stopped trotting behind him ever since. Players can switch the controllable character at any time, and depending on which character is selected, the game even promises alternate solutions to certain puzzles. It includes more than 150 puzzles and approximately 200 different items to interact with, all within a semi-linear structure that allows players to solve various tasks in any order.***
