NPC enemies use hammer and anvil tactics - where one force attacks from front while another comes from directly behind, cutting off the fallback route the player(s) originally came from (and presumably made safe) - or spawn in to seem like they do.

Alternate name: Enemies spawn behind

This should not be taken too literally, as the primary point of this is that enemies attack from behind, from an area player thought they had made safe already. Enemies in front are unnecessary even if the referenced military tactic itself requires them.
