Multicultural aliens
Culture concept
Aliens and other non-humans are depicted as having multiple different cultures and possibly ethnicities within single species instead of the usual monoculture that fiction writers often end up with.
This is as opposed to the norm of monocultural aliens (all aliens worship the same deity, all alien products are by same manufacturer, all aliens eat same foods, all aliens, all aliens wear the same clothes, etc.).
