Most games omit surprising number of elements of realism for sake of drama, making this tag quite rare (sports games can be assumed to be realistic by default however).

This does NOT refer to photo-realism (as in, not the visuals).

This tag should be phased out in favor of more specific tags that refer to particular pieces of realism, though this tag may remain useful as shortcut in cases where no realism tag is omitted because it is done in non-realistic manner in the particular game.
