Religion: Christian

Important note:
Religion is a set of rules and rituals that lead to heaven or spiritual enlightenment. The New Testament of the Holy Bible very clearly emphasizes repeatedly that following rituals and rules is not the way to heaven. If you don't want to read the whole thing then note John 6:28-29 for an example. Religion is In fact repeatedly emphatically discouraged. The only exception is found in James 1:27 "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." (ESV). But even here in this book attributed to James that teaches the reason of doing good things, faith precedes religion (not the other way around).
Note however, this tag has little to do with James 1:27. It is instead based on rules and rituals the would seem to be performed in a 'Christian' context (in contrast to the teachings of Jesus and his apostles).
