Resource regeneration
Video game concept
Harvestable resources regenerate over time. Trees, mushrooms, berries, flowers, etc. grow back. May even go so far as to "grow back" rock, metal, gem, and other non-replenishable resource formations.

A very basic way of providing infinite resources.
Not the same as having resource locations that can be harvested forever, but rather resources can be harvested repeatedly, as long as you wait for them to regenerate (which may be far too long time compared to finding new source).
Not for resource generation from player created things or player guided generation (agriculture and such).
Practically mandatory feature in MMOs, but not really as there are many alternate methods to replenish resources for the player base.
