Alternate name: Modern fantasy

Generally this means all or vast majority of the game is spent in a city with any visits outside of the city are short-lived nor frequent. So even if it's modern times, but set in the boonies or most of the time in them, then it's not urban fantasy.

This includes historical periods too that are limited within a city, though such are not generally popular in fiction (nor games).
