Zombie Night Terror Gambitious Digital Entertainment (NoClip)2016Prepare yourself for the most thrilling night of your life! Something strange has happened and people everywhere are turning into blood thirsty walking corpses. But guess who’s the brains behind this hungry undead army? YOU! So spread this pandemic to wipe humanity of this planet. Because the only way to survive the zombie apocalypse, is to BE the apocalypse!

But the brainless undead are quite dumb... even dumber than you might expect given their lack of grey matter. Because when left to their own devises, they will just endlessly walk forward and fall into permanently deadly booby traps placed by not-so-helpless humans. So to accomplish your mission of world extermination, you will need to help guide them to their next yummy meal. Luckily you can utilize numerous special mutations to make your troops evolve and fulfil their appetite for flesh. But beware! Humans will not facilitate your dark will....they will fight to survive.

Spread terror through 40 levels and enrol more zombies into your undead army. Along the way you’ll have to solve brain tingling puzzles, and fight increasingly powerful foes that are hell-bent on staying alive. The closer you get to total world extinction, the harder survivors will fight to put you in the ground....for good.

Blood, tears, non-sexual moans, inappropriate laughter, and tons of puzzles that will literally blow your brains out... This is Zombie Night Terror!

Features
* Command a Zombie Horde: You are the brain, they are the muscles. Your zombie horde will obey your commands without any strike risk or complaints ... On the downside; you can’t have any heated conversations about late night movies or cool books anymore tough!
* Unique Mutation System: Having an army of deadly zombies is awesome. Having an army of mutated zombies is way better! Take advantage of our mutation system to overcome the enemy’s defences, by creating powerful new zombie types. Each has their unique power and abilities that can help you overcome different situations.
* Combo System: Because you thought mutations were your only way to facilitate your meat feast, we spiced it up allowing you to combine those and see what your enemies are made of (literally). Let’s show those pesky humans how to have fun!
* You are not alone: Having zombies is kind of like having a pet; it’s fun but you need to take care of them... That’s what humans are for, as they are the perfect way to keep your zombies well fed and busy. But beware! Humans are well armed and they do not appreciate the toothy company of the undead.
* Contaminate: Don’t have enough company? Do you need a bigger horde? Well, just convert Humans to your cause then! You don’t necessary need to bring flowers and be charming, as a single bite right into the neck (or anywhere that pleases you) should be enough to do the trick!
* Destructible Environments: In times of a zombie apocalypse, humans love to take their time playing hide and seek. However when the hunger for tasty flesh is this painful, you don’t have time for such childishness. So use the power or your horde to destroy their playground and spread terror among them... PEEKABOOM!***

Zafehouse: Diaries Screwfly Studios2012Zafehouse: Diaries is a tactical game of survival, planning, resource management and problem-solving. Manage your survivors’ needs, prejudices and motivations and you might stay around long enough to be rescued.

Tell your story
Zafehouse: Diaries uses a unique, diary-based interface. It records your actions, reveals the state of the world, provides hints and clues to help you, and can be exported and shared when the game is over.

Pick your battles
A sophisticated combat engine models all battles in the game, from a zombie slipping in through a bathroom window, to a swarm flooding into the hospital you thought was secure. The combat engine takes into account each survivor’s abilities and relationships, the environment, weapons, items and more.

Task-based UI
A simple, streamlined interface makes it easy to issue orders to your survivors, without getting bogged down in micromanagement. Will you get them to search the location, watch for zombies, barricade the windows, lay traps, prepare food or patrol outside?

Face dilemmas
Will you leave a survivor trapped in the basement with some zombies so you can prepare for a fight? What if the Piper drops by and says he’ll lead some zombies away from the house as long as you give him some live bait? Dilemmas force you to make difficult choices for the good of the group.

Know your survivors
Survivors have unique personalities and skills – use them wisely and the group will work efficiently. But they don’t just wait around for you to give them an order. They’ll explore, maintain barricades, socialise, play games and tinker.

Relationships matter
Make sure you check in on your survivors and see how they’re getting along. Poor relationships mean they won’t work well together, and may even end up fighting – or worse.

Customisable
Add your own names, portraits and locations to the game – play Zafehouse: Diaries with a group of friends in your hometown.

- Command deadly close-combat battles:
Shooting down UFOs is just the beginning; you must the lead a squad of heavily-armed soldiers across different terrains as they investigate the UFO crash site. Tackle the aliens with automatic rifles, rocket launchers and even tanks in the struggle to retrieve useful technology, weapons or life forms.

- Research and manufacture alien technologies:
Successful ground assault missions will allow X-Com scientists to analyse alien items. Each new breakthrough brings you a little closer to understanding the technology and culture of the alien races. When your engineers have amassed sufficient research data on their superior weapons and craft, they'll be available for your troops to use.

- Develop a strategy to save the Earth:
You must make every crucial decision as you combat the powerful alien forces. But you'll also need to watch the world political situation; governments may be forced into secret pacts with the aliens and then begin to reduce X-Com funding.

8 de 10***They're back...only this time the heinous aliens are out to destroy Earth and rule the new frontier.

5 de 10***teleport — for the player this is when entering and leaving the levels. Large majority of the enemies arrive by teleporting, usually aided by the alien transmitters, and the professor-thing teleports weapons near you occasionally.

Although the gameplay is good and somewhat unusual, its greatest weakness is its outlook. Everything is in cheery candy wrapped colours with odd plastic shine to them, giving the game an unreal feel and makes it difficult to immerse oneself into the gameworld and feel like we really are being invaded by aliens from another dimension while some strange alien worshipping cult tries to sabotage your operations. This is not the only reason, but it just feels like it lacks a great deal to make itself stand out, especially now that the game is located on one huge megapolis rather than the whole world, so you'd expect the game to also have more detail on that accord but no, there isn't. Despite this, the game is enjoyable for some odd reason, but could've been much better.

Wizardry VI: Bane of the Cosmic Forge Sir-Tech1991Ten years ago, WIZARDRY set the standards in Fantasy Role-Playing (FRP). Now after two million copies have been sold and dozens of awards have been won, Bane of the Cosmic Forge raises and redefines those standards. This new WIZARDRY, the truest simulation ever of Fantasy Role Playing, will push your computer, your mind, and your sense of adventure to their very limits. Only through the power of the latest computer technology could the full dimensions of this new genre in FRP be possible.

This is FRP the way you wanted it to be.

Prepare yourself. Take with you six companions - choose wisely, for having chosen, your fate is in their hands. Enter the ancient castle to retrieve the Cosmic Forge, a magical pen whose writings caused the river of time itself to change course. You will find treasure, armor, and magic items to advance your quest; meet wizened and cryptic dwellers who hold secrets that must be unearthed; and solve the riddles and puzzles that abound.

But beware- you and your party will encounter countless dangers, hazards, and creatures of dazzling form to block your way. Only through your magic and skills, ever growing as you progress, can they be vanquished.

And the story, so rich in mythology and legend, weaves a web of intrigue so complex that only you, with patience and travail can unravel.

Let the computer roll the dice, consult the charts and apply the rules. From the 400 items of armor and weaponry researched for authenticity to the realistic combat structure, incorporating Primary and Secondary attack, this reproduction of true FRP within the computer environment will make all other attempts obsolete.

The adventure is as real as the pleasure.

Pros:

Following him are two powerful races, the T'Rang and the Umpani, as well as your own brave party of adventurers. Everyone is headed to Dominus, a world on the cusp of the Cosmic Circle, birthplace of the Astral Dominae and home of the Cosmic Lords. Many paths will converge on Dominus, and many long-hidden secrets will be revealed.

Windward Tasharen Entertainment2012***Looks like Sid Meyer's Pirates, only modernerish. Choose your war ship, sail into battle, fire you cannons.

This is an obscure release; the Windows and Mac version are on Desura, Steam, and Tasharen's website. You'll only find the Linux version hidden on Tasharen's website at http://tasharen.com/windward/WindwardLinux.zip. UPDATE: Eventually released on Desura then GOG.***The Game
Windward is a fast-paced naval combat game set in the fantasy time period similar to the mid-17th century. It features a variety of different ships to choose from, different maps to play on by yourself or with your friends, randomly generated booty to discover, talents to earn, and plenty more.
Features
Variety of skirmish maps with different objectives
Different ships to choose from
Experience from combat results in levels
Random items drop in combat
Full multiplayer support
As a fun side-feature, your ship will appear in other player's games (even single-player), so they will either praise you or curse your very name, depending on which side your ship ends up on and how uber you've made it

All of those features are already in place. Going forward, for those in search of a longer single-player and co-op experience, there will be the Campaign mode, where a huge procedural world gets generated just for you, complete with factions controlling territory that you can work with or plot against, do tasks for, discover treasure, or of course -- pillage everything in sight.
