The first video game about American Sign Language was released in 1991.

For older games using American Sign Language (ASL), this will most likely be ASL alphabet with motion lines. Later computer graphics and animation improvements allow for characters to fully utilize arm and torso movements, facial elements, and other pantomimes of some dialects.
