The first one was titled Shugotenshi and was developed by Nevolution. Kura Akkuraju would have been the main character.

The other one, developed by Anarchy Arts, was titled Legacy of the Fallen and was set on a Kato mining facility on another planet, where the player would have learned more about the Fallen.***

Use hi-tec weapons and bio-mod technology to develop your character and give them extraordinary powers; see through walls, run faster than cars, render yourself invisible to beat and evade your enemies.

Lose yourself in a totally absorbing and gripping gameplay experience - Deus Ex: Invisible War draws you into one person's mission whilst building a full, real and ever shifting and surprising environment.

An arsenal of modifiable weapons including shotguns, sniper rifles, grenades, rocket launchers and flamethrowers are all at hand to take down the enemy.

Personally I think the game is quite good, and the major criticism from others seems to have been about the extremely dark setting (lack of lighting), but how many horror games do you see in brightly lit environs that still manage to scare you? I doubt any. Creep you out by weirdness, perhaps, but not scare you.

The only gripe I have about the game is that it relies all too much on scripted sequences to scare you, and the mob A.I. seems to be a bit too straightforward to give much challenge as it's quite easy to figure out and once that's done, most situations are ridiculously easy to handle, especially with the virtually infinite ammo you have (not that that's much a surprise as the place _is_ weapons research and manufacturing facility on top of everything else).***Minimum:

Then a revolt against the increasingly rigid and corrupt human leadership of the Laputa escalated into a conflict that destroyed the colony. Now, the remaining survivors flee once again. [Cenega]***After the alien invasion, the Council of Earth successfully fought the Reticulans and moreover discovered their secret plan: to cover the Earth with "Biomass", a network of alien organic tissue that, the Reticulans hoped, would become conscious and endowed with immense psychic powers. The Reticulans who invaded the Earth are not true representatives of their kind, they are a breakaway faction that burned the bridges and chose this backwater part of space to conduct its experiments.

The Reticulans would construct a large satellite (several kilometres across) with a closed ecosystem and move the remnants of human population there. The experiment with the Biomass would go on on the surface. Then something went horribly wrong...

Heavy Duty Akella (Primal Software)2006It seems that Primal Software died by 2008 or so and assets were seemingly bought by Quant Software who went on to develop [game=#177921]2025: Battle for Fatherland[/game].***Heavy Duty is a high-tech Tactical Action game where you will have to defend a whole planet from alien invaders. You'll start with a small team of highly trained pilots fighting in huge multi-legged war robots.

You'll create a planet-wide defensive system to intercept and destroy alien spaceships before they land, and if they manage to slip to the surface of your planet - it's up to you to lead the elite group of robots to crush the invaders, gather some artifacts, research them and produce even better weapons. You'll manage your own base and build new ones.

Highlights
* Planet - a huge and real celestial body. You'll walk on any point of its surface, you'll zoom up to its orbit and back, enjoy beautiful sunsets and fight in the silvery moonlight, visit various climate zones, see weather effects from cyclones in its atmosphere... There are no limits, no "loading" screens, everything is available at any time.
* Robots themselves use inverse kinematics, and it's much more than just ragdoll - they choose where to place their feet on any landscape without sliding, and every movement looks and feels as if they are truly alive.
* Terramorphing technology is responsible for ground deformations - explosions create craters and landslides, you shape the battlefield with your weapons!
* Ability to choose your play style: to get to the battlefild and individually control any robot or switch to the tactical interface and control the squad as a whole.

UFO: Afterlight takes us to Mars, where a human colony has been built with the help of the Reticulans not long before the events of [game=#155167]UFO: Aftershock[/game] took place. Mars base is self-sustainable and provides all the necessities for survival of humans on a foreign planet, mainly breathable air, water and food. Although the people inhabiting this colony have the technologies and knowledge required for their further development, basic survival is their major concern. Their only activity is the research of a nearby excavation site, which proves the existence of an ancient intelligent and highly developed alien civilization.

The player will enter the game when the research drastically affects all Mars inhabitants. New and unexpected enemies appear in the form of robots, built centuries ago by the unknown aliens for their protection, whose purpose is to eliminate any traces of other civilizations on Mars.

Humans on Mars now have a good reason for their own development, even though not knowing yet that the planetary self-defense mechanism might not be the worst awaiting them, and that their unintentional opening of hyperspace gates will bring an even bigger enemy right to their door. After all attempts to contact the Earth Laputa fail, the colonists are left with no other choice than to fight the enemies with their own means, or be annihilated.

Dr. Aiden Krone is a former professor of Applied Physics at MIT, notorious for his unrivaled brilliance and obsession with Thermodynamics, Advanced Propulsion, and Quantum Electrodynamics (QED). Despite his increasing tendencies to demand control and secrecy, he became the Founder and Lead Physicist of a classified Time Travel research program.

Over a decade later, Krone's program had successfully developed the world's first time-travelling suit technology. However, as the program's equally secretive decsision-makers demanded this technology be adapted for military applications, Krone's feelings of self-entitlement and anger grew. He secretly desired a new existence, a new world where his scientific endeavors could be shaped and experienced without outside interference.

The combination of Krone's mind and his suit technology gave him the ability to create and control another existence - an existence where a man of science could finally operate without restrictions and do so within a place where science itself was properly respected regardless of the effects on humanity.

It is now up to you to trace Krone's last known appearances and stop his tyrannical rule over Alpha District. In a twisted world where scientific accomplishments reign, its up to you to don the Beta Suit and Master Time to Become the Ultimate Weapon.

* 1.01 (?)***Not as great as I expected, and the driving around in Mako is horrible most of the time as well as the final bit of the ending just makes me feel sickly. My recommendation is, if you want to enjoy this game, stick to the main story and avoid any side exploration/quests completely, and try to bear the last bit of the ending (the parts where humans talk). Replayability comes mostly from dialogs as otherwise the game gets quite dull, and unfortunately you need those dialogs to progress your renegade/paragon ranks to open the more interesting dialog choices since these are separate from your regular leveling and skills.***Free expansions:

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3  Electronic Arts (EA Los Angeles)2008In Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 hopeless leaders of a doomed Soviet Union travels back in time so that they can change history. A new alternate timeline appears where the Soviets now find themselves as the leading superpower but also discover something else has gone terribly wrong. World War III is raging, the Japanese Empire of the Rising Sun has risen in the east challenging the Soviet bid for world domination. A three-way war now emerges between the Soviet Union, the Allies, and a new Empire of the Rising Sun faction.

The game follows the tradition of the Command & Conquer series where the player must build up bases and produce a massive attack force to destroy all enemies. The player may choose any one of the three factions, each with a different array of infantry, armored vehicles, aircraft, ships to fight with, as well as buildings with new technologies, upgrades, and the all-powerful super weapons. Global Agenda Hi-Rez Studios2010To summarize my view of what Global Agenda is: Sci-fi [game=#157590]Guild Wars[/game], even though that isn't exactly accurate.***GLOBAL AGENDA is a fast-paced action MMO using Unreal® Engine 3 set in Earth's near future, a spy-fi world of advanced technology and player-driven conflict.

In the wake of severe global disaster, the political face of 22nd century earth has changed and player-created factions scheme against each other for power. Traditional full-scale wars a thing of the past, factions must rely on covert agencies, teams of elite special operatives able to seize and defend key facilities. The future of humanity is their battleground, where knowledge is power, technology is a race, and everyone has an agenda.

The players control the world of Global Agenda, forging alliances with their peers and executing lightning strikes against their enemies. They determine which factions to aid and which to oppose, while the only thing that stands in their way is other agencies.

* Develop your agent - Create, extensively customize, and improve your agent character over the course of your career, complimenting your FPS skills with RPG-style progression and high-tech gear.
* Advance your agency - Join a player-created agency, compete in technology races for advanced equipment, and capture critical locations to increase your influence in the world.
* Compete in fast-paced PvP combat - Work with your allies to gather reconnaissance data, then raid or capture enemy-controlled facilities during objective-based missions. Equip yourself from a powerful array of weapons, armor, and strategic devices like triggered explosives, deployable turrets, stealth suits, holographic decoys, and remote control robots.
* Experience a dynamic, player-driven world - Agency leaders navigate through a global conflict of other player-run groups, striving to reach their goals first. Territory, resources, technology, and influence are all valuable commodities, with agencies engaging in politics, intrigue, and outright deception to control them.

Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight  Electronic Arts (EA Los Angeles)2010Includes two campaigns selectable after ~3 tutorial/prologue missions, both of which end in superficially same manner but have their own quirks which may be of interest, though in terms of sequels (if there ever will be such) there's little need for retconning either campaign as they are sufficiently separated/streamlined not to clash with each other (but can't exist simultaneously).

Personally the singleplayer portion is rather pointless with obvious focus on 2-3 player coops or larger pvp matches.

Most of the difficulty on solo/coop games comes from the fact that the enemy isn't limited to 3-6 MCV calldowns like you are and thus can never be truly defeated (usually it isn't the objective and when it is, they don't call new MCVs when one id destroyed).

For anyone wanting good solo game, better look at the older free CnC games (Tiberian Sun for example) or games unrelated to CnC series. Didn't try multiplayer, so it might be more interesting if that's your thing.***In the year 2062, humanity found itself on the brink of extinction. Tiberium, the mysterious, alien crystalline structure that infested Earth for decades and caused years of relentless conflict between the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod, was close to rendering the planet uninhabitable. In the midst of this crisis, Kane, Nod's prophetic leader, emerged from seclusion to deliver GDI the message that he had developed a system that could control Tiberium and harness its power. But he could not build this "Tiberium Control Network" without GDI's cooperation. Thus, the two opposing factions—GDI and Nod—found themselves in a desperate and unlikely alliance to stop Tiberium from extinguishing mankind.

"KANE. GDI. NOD. TIBERIUM. HOW WILL IT END?"
Now, after 15 years, the network is nearly complete. Tiberium is under strict control and our revitalized planet is on the cusp of a new age of prosperity and progress. It is only now that the world's citizens begin to seriously ponder why Kane chose to help, and what he will want in return. These questions and more lead to the dramatic final act of the 15-year Tiberium saga in Command & Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight.

Kane. GDI. Nod. Tiberium. How will it end? Find out in Command & Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight, told through gritty live-action cinematics, persistent player progression, and a multitude of innovations to the classic fast and fluid Command & Conquer gameplay.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare  Activision (Sledgehammer Games;Raven Software)2014In short: great graphics in a bland FPS format.

Vanilla modern CoD (perks + red screen) with nothing new to offer, except for dashing/double jumping and some techie weapons and abilities (that drain a power bar from their use), and a "grenade launcher" that is only a visual quirk to the average classic grenade. Anyways, if you go for jumps and platforming try Titanfall (you can try it for free on Origin with Game Time, and its better in level design and vertical combat), and if you like futuristic gadgets and customization try Ghost Recon Phantoms (F2P crafted for real multiclass playing and more interesting and versatile special skills)
At least displays many different multiplayer modes.

Also includes two co-op modes:
*Exo Defense: a co-op PvE mode, where the players fight waves of soldiers.
*Exo Zombies: a "zombie mode", featuring a mixture between survival and area defense in the way that started Call of Duty: World at War.
