Mature

Culture theme

Includes themes generally seen as suitable only for the mentally mature, judging who is right or wrong to do something is hard or impossible, no clear perpetrators or they're greatly sympathized with, good actions can be harmful, etc.

Contrast: childish

Related:
* Nudity - less likely to occur for sexual gratification of the player.
* Serious - mostly in the sense of being serious.
Traits: (not necessary for all to apply)
* Gray choices (possibly moral choices).
* Sexual themes without being erotic or porn game.
* Torture (physical or mental) in non-humorous context.
* Unexpected (detrimental) consequences for your actions.
* Semi-realistic violence
* The problems presented are actually complex on their own right rather than real-world analogies of smaller problems blown out of proportion (such as the common "fantastic racism").
* Lack of intentional comic relief or similar to lessen the impact of "grim" things.
* More varied/even drama, likely with less emphasis on gratuitous elation for the player (less heroic/epic in a sense; compare drama movies).
* Likely slower-paced, even for the action sequences.
* Does not explain everything.
* Player is not coddled
* Does not point fingers at how Different some thing is when it is normal in the setting
... and so forth.

This does not mean that non-mature people can't find playing the game enjoyable, although they may find it that for different reasons.

Editor note: Due to opposition to this tag, the traits need to be implemented as separate tags that are used and linked to this instead.
