Description

Based on the real fruit fly infestations that occurred in California in the 1970s. This is a strategy game where the player tries to eradicate the medflies. They can be combated by agricultural inspections and quarantine (guarded roadblocks where drug runners and immigrants can also be incidentally harassed), insecticide spraying, and releasing hundreds of thousands of medflies into the wild (sterile medflies, maybe, hopefully). To ensure that the medflies have a fair chance of devastating California's fruit growers (and the people they employ), various insecticide delivery methods will be outlawed occasionally; forcing you to personally hand paint trees with insecticide in some cases. Also, the weather refuses to yield to legislation and will effect the situation. So will you save California from the Medflies? OH NO! Put that out of your mind! Don't lose sight of your priorities! Governor Jerry Brown's political carrier depends on you!
