Lose yourself in a totally absorbing and gripping gameplay experience - Deus Ex: Invisible War draws you into one person's mission whilst building a full, real and ever shifting and surprising environment.

An arsenal of modifiable weapons including shotguns, sniper rifles, grenades, rocket launchers and flamethrowers are all at hand to take down the enemy.

Saya no Uta  Nitro+2003 cannibalism cdrom dementia doppelgangers gore grotesque hallucinations lovecraftian monsters multipleendings visualnovel Fuminori Sakisaka is a young medical student, whose life is changed when he gets in a traffic accident which kills his parents and leaves him heavily injured. Fuminori undergoes experimental brain surgery to save his life, but the surgery has an unintended side-effect - it creates a form of agnosia, causing his senses to become "warped". He perceives the world as a hellish nightmare with a black sky and buildings covered in pulsating flesh, where all the streets and building interiors are splattered with blood, giant organs and cartilage. Ordinary people appear to him as grotesque, giant grub-like monsters with a hideous stench, and even food that he used to like now tastes utterly disgusting.

As he contemplates suicide in the hospital, Fuminori meets a beautiful, human looking girl among the flesh-covered walls. She introduces herself as Saya, and is apparently looking for her father. Fuminori does not want to be separated from Saya, and asks her to live with him. She agrees.

dementia - the protagonist is clearly insane, seeing himself as literal monster when he enters an adrenaline induced rage, during which he can tear his enemies limb from limb. Others do not see the monster, though. Also considering the final boss is a manifestation of his hate, the events of that fight are rather questionable. There are also other people who are more or less insane, such as Dr. Killjoy.
outlaw protagonist - possibly framed, but this isn't established solidly in the first game. The sequel seemed to expand on this.

The game blocks normal printscreen key usage, so taking screenshots of any kind requires 3rd party software which I personally don't have or know of any that don't add ads to the screenshots such as Fraps.

Cave Story is a freeware sidescrolling action/adventure/platformer title with leanings towards Wonderboy and recent sidescrolling Castlevania titles. You control a little amnesiac who runs around helping out these rabbit-ish creatures called Mimigas while trying to find your way out of the giant cave inside the floating island which makes up the game's setting. You can expand your health meter by collecting Life Capsules in similar fashion to Metroid games, while you can get stronger by collecting energy to boost your firearms' output. Each weapon can be built up to the maximum level (3) fairly quickly, but taking damage will drain energy from its experience meter, sometimes causing it to level down. Given how quickly they power up this only tends to be an issue during boss fights, and even then there's usually plenty of opportunities for collecting more weapon energy. The game has loads of secrets, too. Shih Tzu and I haven't found everything, and we've each played it through a couple of times (not to mention having read the script.) It's pretty awesome that way. For a freeware Japanese platformer, it's fairly lengthy and has quite a large amount of text. I'd guesstimate that each playthrough, provided you knew what you were doing, would take about 4-6 hours. Tack on an extra couple of hours if you don't know what you're doing, possibly for extreme problems with nasty bosses (which this game has plenty of, especially towards the end.) We're also talking three very different endings, plenty of plot, and quite a cast of charming characters. It really is a superb little gem :)

Strategy First published the game on 2007-10-18***For the first half of the 21st century, the war on terror became a global phenomena as more blatant and frenzied attacks struck deeper into the lives of common people. Inevitably, the pressure from public outcry to stop the madness grew to an irresistible level; the military forces of the world slowly but steadily retooled their outlooks, weapons, and tactics to combat people who were willing to die for their cause.

By 2100, the world was more or less at peace, with continued discord in some regions as modernized military forces sought to track down and destroy the remaining terrorist cells that continued to fight and harass civilian and military alike. Regardless, as this war began to wane, it slowly moved out of the public's eye, and they began to pick up the pieces and try to make better lives for themselves. Not since the years following World War II had such prosperity been felt across the planet; even war-ravaged regions received a "Marshall Plan" of sorts, having their infrastructures built up far beyond what they ever were before.

As prosperity grew, so too did the ventures of capitalism. In this day and age, science was the 'new capitalism,' fueling the growth of amazing new technologies. The first high-profile ventures into the creation of a viable fusion energy source, an offshoot of the efforts of the aging multinational oil companies, began in 2105 in the United States, with the backing of billions of dollars in venture and government capital. The International Power Initiative of 2112, an agreement among nations investing in the fusion power project, but eventually including many hundreds of other projects based on energy, radically restructured how science was to approach new energy sources. The level of freedom granted to a group of corporations might have been dangerous one hundred years ago, but it was felt that today since there was not a rivalry in the race to find the secrets of fusion power first, that giving a corporation autonomy to do what it needed to do would foster creativity and growth on an unheard-of scale.

It didn't.

Year 2012. Six years passed since the time of the Second catastrophe to have made the April events of 1986 fade.

The game is set in the Chernobyl exclusion zone which turned from a destiny-breaker place into a threat to all mankind. The Zone is reluctant to open up its mysteries and needs to be forced to do it. It is a rare hero who can reach the very heart of the Zone onto find out what danger awaits him there.

A danger which, compared to marauders and enemy groupings, all monsters and anomalies, will seem a mere preparation to the meeting with something more fatal and threatening.

But for now... get ready, hero. Collect artefacts and trade, grope your path and keep an eye on the rear, catch roentgens and fight – only make sure you survive! And then, perhaps, if you are persistent and truly lucky, you will find out why all this had fallen on you.

KEY FEATURES

* Living-and-breathing world: virtual monsters and stalkers migrate around the Zone, similarly to the player they are preoccupied with day-to-day things – feeding, fighting, looking for prey, trading, sleeping, taking rest
* Freedom of movement around the storyline, limited only by the player's will and abilities
* The world of post-Soviet environment
* Authentic objectives of the Chernobyl exclusion zone – the power engineers city of Pripyat, Chernobyl NPP, Chernobyl-2 complex of over-the-horizon detection and more
* Atmosphere of eerie mystery and constant danger
* Multiple game endings
* System of weather effects and dynamic day & night shift
* Photo-realistic graphics, adding to the game atmosphere immersion
* Realistic ballistics, extensive arsenal of real weapon prototypes
* Unique multiplayer modes implemented within the game entourage – artefacts collection, anomalies, radiation, weather effects, day & night change etc
* Extensive map editor possibilities for multiplayer gaming

Controlling a mysterious figure that has inherited the legacy of the evil, long-dead Overlord, the player emerges, near death, from the ruins of the old Overlord's Dark Tower. Only the player's actions will determine if they will rise to become the new all-powerful Overlord; it's all down to how much of a bad ass they want to be in order to succeed... evil or really evil! Played out with plenty of black humour and dark irony, the game will immerse players in twisted parodies of classic fantasy scenarios and characters.

Overlord's key innovation is the introduction of an array of impish creatures - the Minions. They believe you are the old Overlord reborn and will use their unique skills to fetch, fight and die for you. Throughout the game players will actively control a horde of these gremlin-like critters and they'll follow your every instruction no matter how despotic or, for the Minions, life threatening it is.

* 1.05 (2009-01-19)***Eschalon: Book I is an old-school role-playing game that will take you across massive outdoor environments and deep into dozens of sprawling dungeons as you seek to uncover the mystery of who you are. It features a tile-built, turn-based game world where the result of absolutely every action is rolled, calculated or statistically determined. Hundreds of items and dozens of creatures await your discovery in this classically inspired RPG.

* A tile-built, turn-based game world where the result of absolutely every action is rolled, calculated or statistically determined. Strategy is paramount to success; careful skill management, equipment selection and magic usage will win your fights, not rapid button clicking. We are very pleased to say this is not another "action RPG".
* Hundreds of items and dozens of creatures await your discovery. A combination of randomly generated treasure and carefully hidden goodies means that no two games will play the exact same way.
* Unlimited character development style: Choose from 24 unique skills to make the character you want and 8 base attributes that affect your character's every action throughout the game. The game world does not scale or adjust itself to match anyone's play style, so the ease or difficulty of the game is directly related to how successful you are at developing your character.
* Combat plays out at your pace. Eschalon: Book I features a turn-based system that allows you to roll through combat as fast or slow you want...make it fast and furious, or analyze every option for maximum advantage.
* A non-linear storyline means that the game world is open to explore as you desire. Follow the storyline or don't...it's up to you. Just be careful where you go and who you choose to trust- the world of Eschalon can be a deadly place for an inexperienced adventurer.
* An epic adventure that you must face alone...a single-player RPG carefully designed to feel like the great old school RPGs of the past such as Ultima , Might & Magic , and Wizardry
[?]***

***The creator advertises that gameplay is, "the result of absolutely every action is rolled, calculated or statistically determined ", and it has a "combination of randomly generated treasure and carefully hidden goodies".

2009-12-14 on Steam, as "The Void", by ND Games (lang: eng)***Tension – a survival adventure game, in which you have to stay alive in the hostile world of Void and to get out from it as quick as possible. The choice is either to support life in its horrifying Hunters or its mournful girls or strip them of it. The way you pass through The Void is the way it changes. The way it reflects upon you.

The surrealistic world of Tension is based on a single resource that grants the ability to live and act – Lympha. Each color of Lympha possesses its own character and unique properties – both useful and dangerous. Only Lympha gives life, but it can take it back as well. Hunters' blood, captured creature, gracious girls, tree brought to life, just everything is the source of Lympha. Any action you take: battling an enemy, talking to a Sister, hunting, searching, traveling – the price in exchange is Lympha.

The dynamic, interactive environment and the severe resource shortage constantly put the player into unexpected circumstances. Although the player is free to use any colors any time he should mind his global strategy, since the finale will turn out the way the world is painted. The gameplay in Tension is non-linear the ending (one of the 11) depends on the color and the amount of Lympha used.

Features:

* Lympha – the unified resource: the currency, the hero's health, armory and inventory, the character's stat system and the world settings.
* All the actions are done via drawing by Lympha. The amount of Lympha used influences the effectiveness of the result.
* The diversity of gameplay based greatly on random appearance and distribution of resources.
* 7 colors of Lympha are of the same value of nutrition, but produce a different effect in the same situations, if used.
* Each color of Lympha can benefit and each can harm. The player can take advantage of a color, though even a drop of any color can change the world of the Gap.

* 1.01 (?)***Not as great as I expected, and the driving around in Mako is horrible most of the time as well as the final bit of the ending just makes me feel sickly. My recommendation is, if you want to enjoy this game, stick to the main story and avoid any side exploration/quests completely, and try to bear the last bit of the ending (the parts where humans talk). Replayability comes mostly from dialogs as otherwise the game gets quite dull, and unfortunately you need those dialogs to progress your renegade/paragon ranks to open the more interesting dialog choices since these are separate from your regular leveling and skills.***Free expansions:

But is important for being the predecessor of Fallout: New Vegas, who is better in every way possible and retakes the old developers of Fallout 1 and 2.

Vault-Tec engineers have worked around the clock on an interactive reproduction of Wasteland life for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own vault. Included is an expansive world, unique combat, shockingly realistic visuals, tons of player choice, and an incredible cast of dynamic characters. Every minute is a fight for survival against the terrors of the outside world – radiation, Super Mutants, and hostile mutated creatures. From Vault-Tec, America's First Choice in Post Nuclear Simulation.

Story:

Vault 101 – Jewel of the Wastes. For 200 years, Vault 101 has faithfully served the surviving residents of Washington DC and its environs, now known as the Capital Wasteland. Though the global atomic war of 2077 left the US all but destroyed, the residents of Vault 101 enjoy a life free from the constant stress of the outside world. Giant Insects, Raiders, Slavers, and yes, even Super Mutants are all no match for superior Vault-Tec engineering. Yet one fateful morning, you awake to find that your father has defied the Overseer and left the comfort and security afforded by Vault 101 for reasons unknown. Leaving the only home you've ever known, you emerge from the Vault into the harsh Wasteland sun to search for your father, and the truth.

Key Features:

* Limitless Freedom! – Take in the sights and sounds of the vast Capital Wasteland! See the great monuments of the United States lying in post-apocalyptic ruin! You make the choices that define you and change the world. Just keep an eye on your Rad Meter!
* Experience S.P.E.C.I.A.L.! – Vault-Tec engineers bring you the latest in human ability simulation – the SPECIAL Character System! Utilizing new breakthroughs in points-based ability representation, SPECIAL affords unlimited customization of your character. Also included are dozens of unique skills and perks to choose from, each with a dazzling variety of effects!
* Fantastic New Views! – The wizards at Vault-Tec have done it again! No longer constrained to just one view, experience the world from 1st or 3rd person perspective. Customize your view with the touch of a button!
* The Power of Choice! – Feeling like a dastardly villain today, or a Good Samaritan? Pick a side or walk the line, as every situation can be dealt with in many different ways. Talk out your problems in a civilized fashion, or just flash your Plasma Rifle.
* Blast ‘Em Away With V.A.T.S.! – Even the odds in combat with the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System for your Pip-Boy Model 3000! V.A.T.S. allows you to pause time in combat, target specific body parts on your target, queue up attacks, and let Vault-Tec take out your aggression for you. Rain death and destruction in an all-new cinematic presentation.
* Mind-Blowing Artificial Intelligence! – At Vault-Tec, we realize that the key to reviving civilization after a global nuclear war is people. Our best minds pooled their efforts to produce an advanced version of Radiant AI, America's First Choice in Human Interaction Simulation. Facial expressions, gestures, unique dialog, and lifelike behavior are brought together with stunning results by the latest in Vault-Tec technology.
* Eye-Popping Prettiness! – Witness the harsh realities of nuclear fallout rendered like never before in modern super-deluxe HD graphics. From the barren Wasteland, to the danger-filled offices and metro tunnels of DC, to the hideous rotten flesh of a mutant's face.

This simplifies your weapon choices to economic issues. Implants no longer have intelligence requirement and you can only have one implant in use at any time, effectively making intelligence almost pointless (formerly lack of intelligence restricted more powerful implants from your use and you could have 3 implants total in use). Armor skill has been removed completely, allowing anyone to wear any armor they want. And then there's the additional missions (missions 8 and 9, a small town). And net ranking.***Alien Shooter 2 - Reloaded is a modified version of the Alien Shooter 2 game. We started working on it right after release of AS2, taking into account the players' wishes. Well, here's the list of what we've done:
1. Size of the full version installation file was reduced to 300 Mb, compared to 1Gb of the original Alien Shooter 2. Large installation file prevented users with slow connection from buying and downloading the game.
2. Player upgrade parameters simplified. Now you don't need to develop separate skills for each weapon type, so you'll be able to complete the game using all the weapon types featured in it.
3. Two new missions added. Now the game features 17 full levels.
4. New individual shooting mode added - Gun Stand. You will use powerful military equipment to eliminate advancing enemy troops. As the game goes on, you will upgrade your weapon in different ways, and the right choice will let you win the battle!

Even telling how to identify your allies positively (and thus who isn't your ally) by insignia, uniform appearance, etc. would've been extremely useful. Two years after Commander Shepard repelled invading Reapers bent on the destruction of organic life, a mysterious new enemy has emerged. On the fringes of known space, something is silently abducting entire human colonies. Now Shepard must work with Cerberus, a ruthless organization devoted to human survival at any cost, to stop the most terrifying threat mankind has ever faced.

To even attempt this perilous mission, Shepard must assemble the galaxy’s most elite team and command the most powerful ship ever built. Even then, they say it would be suicide. Commander Shepard intends to prove them wrong.

Just like in the previous game, what you say to the other characters matters a great deal. Fortunately, the conversation system has been improved. The camera now pans around characters as they talk to one another to evoke a dramatic, cinematic feel. Also, Shepard can interrupt the conversation when given the appropriate prompt, taking situations into new directions that could help or hinder the mission.

Shepard is more customizable than ever, letting you create your ideal lead character — gender, facial features, class, and of course, attitude. Once you embark on missions, you’ll be treated to an improved battle system that lets you target weak points and blast off your enemy’s limbs with a variety of weapons.

Set out to lead your team to victory... or die at the hands of The Collectors. Either path is possible in BioWare’s smash hit, Mass Effect 2. Which destiny will you choose?***

Nunca "Shepard" dijo tanto

7 de 10***Besides removing pretty much everything that was bad about ME1, ME2 has some other improvements besides that. Though I did miss driving with the Mako on the planet with the Thorian, I'm still glad planetary surveys had been simplified to manual scanner sweeps over the old drive around with the Mako till you find something of interest. The game's RPG elements have been simplified, as most weapon skills no longer exist, and the ones that exist are temporary boosts or similar. Biotics were largely unchanged, though some new powers were added. A unique(?) feature was introduced with every single skill branching on the last (fourth) level into two alternatives that give various benefits. Otherwise the game remains largely the same, though there's almost none of the tedious running "quests" ME1 had on the Citadel. The locations you visit are much smaller, but generally speaking more unique. You won't feel like you're visiting the same place for the thousandth time unless you really are. That comes obviously with the cost that there's less optional things to do besides scanning planets for minerals, though I didn't bother to scan any more than was necessary (which probably left well over two thirds of the systems unexplored).

To summarize: ME2 is better in almost all aspects I could care about in ME1's sequel, was somewhat amazed at this achievement myself.***Minimum:

10 de 10***Welcome to Vegas. New Vegas.

It’s the kind of town where you dig your own grave prior to being shot in the head and left for dead...and that’s before things really get ugly. It’s a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis. It’s a place where the right kind of person with the right kind of weaponry can really make a name for themselves, and make more than an enemy or two along the way.

As you battle your way across the heat-blasted Mojave Wasteland, the colossal Hoover Dam, and the neon drenched Vegas Strip, you’ll be introduced to a colorful cast of characters, power-hungry factions, special weapons, mutated creatures and much more. Choose sides in the upcoming war or declare "winner takes all" and crown yourself the King of New Vegas in this follow-up to the 2008 videogame of the year, Fallout 3.

Enjoy your stay.

Key Features
* Feel the Heat in New Vegas! Not even nuclear fallout could slow the hustle of Sin City. Explore the vast expanses of the desert wastelands – from the small towns dotting the Mojave Wasteland to the bright lights of the New Vegas strip. See the Great Southwest as could only be imagined in Fallout.
* Feuding Factions, Colorful Characters and a Host of Hostiles! A war is brewing between rival factions with consequences that will change the lives of all the inhabitants of New Vegas. The choices you make will bring you into contact with countless characters, creatures, allies, and foes, and determine the final explosive outcome of this epic power struggle.
* New Systems! Enjoy new additions to Fallout: New Vegas such as a Companion Wheel that streamlines directing your companions, a Reputation System that tracks the consequences of your actions, and the aptly titled Hardcore Mode to separate the meek from the mighty. Special melee combat moves have been added to bring new meaning to the phrase "up close and personal". Use V.A.T.S. to pause time in combat, target specific enemy body parts and queue up attacks, or get right to the action using the finely-tuned real-time combat mechanics.
* An Arsenal of Shiny New Guns! With double the amount of weapons found in Fallout 3, you’ll have more than enough new and exciting ways to deal with the threats of the wasteland and the locals. In addition, Vault-Tec engineers have devised a new weapons configuration system that lets you tinker with your toys and see the modifications you make in real time.
* Let it Ride! In a huge, open world with unlimited options you can see the sights, choose sides, or go it alone. Peacemaker or Hard Case, House Rules, or the Wild Card - it’s all in how you play the game.***EAN-13:
0093155125049
***Welcome to Vegas. New Vegas.
