This is a rather unreasonable requirement as there's no good reason to demand it (a bit like demanding person plays the game only from P-ATA harddrive, failing completely on SCSI or S-ATA drives; or demanding the player play only on a machine with DDR2 RAM, failing with anything older or newer).

Occasionally games are nice enough to ignore this, though commonly this is accomplished by using an obscure command-line option.
