Includes creatures that resemble plants but act as if they were animals by exhibiting traits of self-awareness, capacity for communication, and possibly of sentience.

Notable people involved: 'Guzusuru', Will Wright, Eiji Aonuma, Steve Mayles and 'merrigo'

Alternate names: Plant monsters, Sentient plants

Generally plants that move about on their own, communicate (even if unitelligibly like animals), or plant-like creatures that are sentient. Taxonomically (scientifically) these would probably be called animals despite their appearance.

Much like crystalline creatures, these are commonly thought to be impossible (outside of mimicking the shape and color, as some insects are known to do).

If the creatures appearing plant-like are clearly labeled as something else than plants (insects, animals, etc.), then this tag may still apply but a note should be added that in-mythos they're not seen as plants.
