Carry capacity: Slots

Other (objects, etc.) concept

Carry capacity is limited by the number of available slots. Some items may take more than one slot and some items may be stacked within single slot.

The first video game about Carry capacity: Slots was released in 1983.

Capcom, Beamdog and 2K Games has published most of these games

In case the items can occupy more than one slot, this functions as a half-way solution to items with actual volume (since single coin still takes same amount of space as whatever the maximum a coin stack can have).

Items that stack are usually money, potions/hypos, and ammo. Often the stacks have limits and a new stack is created when the limit is reached.
