Instead of regular flat surface of some unspecified size, the world is depicted as a sphere-like mass in-game.


The first video game about Spheroid world was released on December 29, 1991.

Uber Entertainment, EA Games and Microprose has published most of these games

2D maps that wrap end to end are not spheroids unless it clearly runs around. Easiest to see if you can zoom out enough to see the whole world (and not as a separate screen).
