Magic: Sigils

Other (objects, etc.) concept

Magic is invoked by sigils of power, usually drawn by the magic user when needed or activating previously drawn sigils somehow.

Alternate names: Runic
Name variations: runes, symbols, symbolic, sigillary

Another old and commonly perpetuated form of magic where sigils of one sort or another hold power (commonly "runes"). Most prevalent example is circles with a swathe of odd symbols inscribed in them (e.g. a summoning circle). Pentagram/pentagon with a circle touching the five points is also common, though equally commonly tied to demon worship.

Alone this has little meaning.
